ALL INFORMATION ABOUT PALACE ATELIER JAIPUR
Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum (MSMSII) is known for its collection of textiles, handicrafts, and architecture. As an extension of this museum, ‘The Palace Atelier’ – a Museum Shop has been created. The shop showcases handcrafted products reminiscent of the artifacts displayed in the Museum. It exemplifies good design with a collection of products highlighting the traditional techniques of arts and crafts. Our books’ corner has a whole range of books that will always remind you of the royal and glorious pink city of Jaipur!
Architectural Motifs and frescos all around The City Palace have been translated into a range of products in contemporary style. Our collection features traditional crafts like Gota Patti, hand embroidery, block print, tie & dye, and many more. A lot of effort has been put into reviving and replicating the designs and techniques of the bygone era. There are some designs inspired by the 17the century textile collection displayed at the Museum. For instance- Thalposh (plate cover), Pankhi (hand fan) Cushion Cover, Shawls, Gangajali (water container) Pachranga T-shirt, and Night Polo Ball, are the highlight of the shop. The silver inlayed daggers and frames, wooden hand-painted drawers, enameled silver salad spoons, and Gota Patti chess set are classic examples of excellent craftsmanship.
In an attempt to educate the children about the rich history and culture of Jaipur, puzzles and books have been designed. Besides, exciting items like wooden blocks, games, key chains, soft toys, and stationery items are created to engage their interest. Our shop has a variety of gift and souvenir options. From decorative magnets, cuff links, button sets, caps, ceramic sets, handmade paper products, etc. with impressions of royal crest and insignias. We hope you have a delightful and enriching experience visiting our collection at The Palace Atelier.
